This Semi-Automatic Machine uses "centerfold" film to produce a totally wrapped pack. This is a neat packaging that will protect and enhance your product. The machine is designed to wrap randomly spaced products of different lengths. The new NTSS series Semi-Automatic Horizontal FLow Wrappers is a hybrid that closes the gap between the intermittent-motion and continuous-motion machines of today. It is the first time that a single machine can offer combined advantages from both machine types, Standard Shrink Wrap and the L-Sealer.

The unit uses a continuous centre folded roll of film and as the product are fed into it, the film over wraps it, and seals the open side on a continuous method depending on the length of the product. At out feed it is diagonally sealed thereby enclosing it completely, as if in a bag. The excess film that was cut off is rolled up in a disposal "take-up" system. The sealer unit then feeds the packed product into the tunnel for shrinking, thus completing the cycle.

  • 1. Loading Conveyor
    Separate in-feed rollers/conveyors to fit randomly sized products both in width and length. The in-feed and out-feed belt fed conveyors will be sized to suit product requirements. Product indexing is achieved with the utilisation of light barriers. The in feed conveyor is easily adjustable to varying product widths.
  • 2. Former
    Products are fed in via an in feed conveyor and at the same time are wrapped in a center-folded film by means of a forming shoe. Using center-fold film which is inverted, the products are presented on the in feed conveyor. Upon detection of the product by a set of sensors, the longitudinal sealing system advances the film and seals the side.
  • 3.Sealer - The unit operates as follows.
    • a. Continuous Side Seal and Cut, wheel/knife - combination.
      The longitudinal sealing is done by a continuously working side-seal unit. The vertical setting of the forming shoe and the sealing unit is manually adjustable. This side sealing unit seals the open side on a continuous method depending on the length of the product.
    • b. Horizontal Sealer
      At out feed it is diagonally sealed thereby enclosing it completely, as if in a bag. The excess film that was cut off is rolled up in a disposal take up system. The cross sealing bar is made with a continuously heated sealing system.
    • c. Waste Uptake Wheel.
      The excess film that was cut off is rolled up in a disposal take up system.
  • 4. In feed Conveyor.
    This conveyor is linking the Sealing systems with the tunnel. After sealing both the site and diagonally, the sealed product gets fed into the tunnel for shrinking, thus completing the cycle.
  • 5. Tunnel
    The tunnel unit has the latest technology regarding re-circulation of the heat and power. The conveyor system is chain driven and is speed controlled by an Omron inverter unit. All systems are solid state process controlled and inter-locked with the sealer and speed.
  • 6. Cooling Fan
    At out feed the tunnel features a cooling fan which speeds up cooling and improves shrinking by up to 30%.
  • 7. Out-feed Conveyor
    The out feed conveyor can be customised to suit your production line in both length, width and speed.

This machine comes in four standard widths, 500 mm, 650 mm, 850 mm and 1000 mm wide.

Three tunnel length options are available

  • a. Sprint - 900 mm Long, For the smaller size packs using the lighter polypropylene film.
  • b. Nykomatic - 1200 mm Long, For medium sized products, ideal for Polypropylene and Polyethylene film
  • c. T2000 - 2000 mm long, for heavier products using Polyethylene film.,

  • 1. NTSS 500 Semi-Automatic Side Seal Wrap Machine.
    Designed for smaller boxes, eg Cell phones, Computer parts, computer games and books. A higher output is achieved with the smaller products.
  • 2.NTSS 650 Semi-Automatic Side Seal Wrap Machine.
    For Large-format products - Capable speeds up to 40 packs per minute, (depending on product length), This unit is designed for shrink wrapping picture frames, A1 and A0 reams of paper, cupboard and standard doors, furniture parts and other large-format products.
  • 3. NTSS 850 and 1000 Semi-Automatic Side Seal Wrap Machine.
    For packaging capacity of up to approximately 30 cycles/min, (depending on product length), for an extreme large format range. This semi-automatic sealing machine for is ideal for the packaging of products with a large format, complete over wrapping of products without film overlap. NTSS 1000 Horizontal Flow Wrap Machine is the side sealer for picture-frames, paper of large format, multiple doors, parts of furniture and other products with a large format.
